The ability to access the creative mind is one of the capacities that enables us to “Live Life Our Way”. If we don’t think creatively, we are stuck living life the way others live their life, or the way others want us to live.
As I’ve mentioned before, I had no choice because I was unable to live life the way our culture wanted me to live. I wasn’t stable enough to get a good 9-5 job and even if I was, I wouldn’t have been organized enough to do well and climb the corporate ladder.
I had no choice but to discover how to use my creative mind to create life the way I needed to live. Because I couldn’t do things the way that others did them, I was forced to become my own unique divergent crazy one-of-a-kind self.
I learned how to create money by following my inner guidance. (I didn’t know I was doing this, btw, but I was.) I learned how to use my journal to express my depression, grief and anger and later how to turn this into a viable living. I learned how to buy real estate when no one in my family had ever done that, and how to create a relationship with my Higher Power that would guide me into opportunities I would never have found on my own.
Later, I discovered that the Creative Intelligence is one of the key faculties of Self according to Dick Schwartz (founder of Internal Family Systems) and is utilized by many successful people to achieve their desires and dreams. Manifesting wizards like Mary Morrissey and Bob Proctor use this intelligence with focused precision, teaching others how to do this.
But without the ability to explore your capacity to create you will be hampered by cultural and familial programming and unable to trust this innate intelligence to guide you.
I use a simple doodling process to teach others how to access, attune to and trust this innate intelligence within.
